It’s Time To Write and Submit Your Bio!  Due FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20th

A BIO is a little blurb that is about you.  Write about yourself, give some history that applies to your performing arts area and maybe thank someone who has helped you to get to where you are today.  Your bio will go next to your photo, which will be on display in the commons area during all performances.

This is NOT the place for private jokes. Sentences such as “I like to go shopping and hang out with friends…” will be edited.  That statement may be true, but it does not keep with the level of professionalism we want in the show.  Yes, we want you to express your personality. But, we have full editing privileges, so write your BIO well.

SPELL CORRECTLY!  HAVE A FRIEND OR PARENT PROOF IT!

Deadline for bios  — FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20th. (Keep a copy of your bio for backup)

Before you write and submit your bio here are a few samples of some former bios:

BRAD SMITH (Luminere/Ensemble) – This is Brad’s 3rd musical at Walled Lake Western. Brad

sings with Troubadours and Chamber Singers, and was a member of the Italy Choir Tour last

year. Brad’s hobbies are skiing, baseball and weight lifting. He plans to go to university next

year and would like to major in business. Brad thanks his parents, his grandma and

his directors for helping become the best that he could be.

LYNN GOLD (Beggarwoman/Ensemble) – Les Miserables is Lynn’s first musical here at WLW,

but it hopefully won’t be her last. She is a sophomore, and enjoys both choir and acting class.

She would like to pursue a career on the stage someday. Thanks, Dr. Shuster, for all your

assistance in voice lessons. Being in Les Miserables is a dream come true for her. She wants to

thank her awesome friends and family for all of their love and support.

HIROTO CHIBA (Violin) – This is Hiroto’s first year in the pit orchestra.  He follows in the footsteps

of his older sister who sang and his older brother who played the cello. He studies privately with

Alexander Robbins at Wayne State University. Hiroto would like to make a career in music

performance, so he plans to go to the University of Michigan and study violin performance.

JAMES ANDERSON (Set Painting/Props) –James is a junior, and Les Miserables is his third

musical here at WLW.  He loves working backstage, away from the lights and crowds of people. James has

taken many visual art and computer graphics classes. He plays lots of sports and likes to eat sushi. James

wants to thank his parents for helping him to get to all of the rehearsals and performances.

MILLY WILLIAMS (Lights) – Milly is a freshman at Walled Lake Western. She is so excited to be

involved with her first musical. She hopes she can continue to work with the performing arts

program while she is at WLW. Milly would like to thank her family and friends for their support

and encouragement to be in the musical.
